More about the Teacher
Sam (@sam.rin.ceramics) has been painting for 10 years and potting around since 2021 — when a kids’ archaeology programme at work inspired her to start making miniature Southeast Asian ceramics. Her work is inspired by Asian art histories, museums and ecologies. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies and Art History at NUS and will be pursuing an MA in Japanese Humanities at Kyushu University in the fall. She was recently artist-in-residence at Kouraku Kiln in Arita, Japan and will be featured in Clayful: The big world of tiny ceramics, an upcoming book to be published later this year.
